Like what is the ‘usual’ or ‘main’ district/area to remain in in which most tourists remain? We are a family of four (2 adults, a single teenager, a single kid) and don’t want to a lot hassle to get to places.

For instance like in HK, the ‘main’ locations would be Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, Wan Chai etc…
or in Shanghai would be the Bund area, Nanjing Rd area, People’s Sq area etc…

So for Bangkok, what is the best area?
